projects & appearances

Paula Buškevica is a graphic designer working across visual identities, publications, web and exhibition design. On some projects she collaborates with Louise Borinski (together they form PBBL). Her independent work extends to practices of writing, recording and material meandering often led by coincidences as a residue of doing something. She is currently thinking about these words: rip-offs, tension stretch, sculpture garden, lay-over, falling and verbs in general.

se ti chiamo, ti giri? is a 110 x 175 mm publication made for vieni fortuna, composed of text contributions by writers, poets, musicians, artists. Launched in September 2024 at Museo Macro, Rome, self-published.

they love the idea of me is an A4 publication composed of around 250 images and 12 short essays edited by Jonas Morgenthaler and Morganne Billuart, self-published in 2023.

Tracks as Envelopes is a website as a multi-track audio player, an archive of 44 audio-letters recorded in situ by voices of the visitors at the Dear Friend exhibition.

Going Somewhere is a 110 x 180 mm book with a screenprinted cloth cover made in collaboration with Otso Peräsaari and published by EKA GD MA in 2022. Here, also pictured a special napkin produced for the book launch in 2022.

Just Before Something Happens, Just After Something Happens, Something Happens is a publication the length of the Latvian alphabet and contains writings about falling and making, recording and holes. 130 x 190 mm, self-published, 2022.
